Something’s shutting down my fwsrv.exe? I’ve run boot scans and Avast home finds nothing. (also full deep scans) XP sp2, 3.2 Ghz 2G ram, spybot, spywaredoctor

Hi rexgo,
Well has to do with your jetico settings, and its interaction with some program. Did you use Torpark or Firefox? Some of the answers can be found in this thread: http://www.wilderssecurity.com/archive/index.php/t-141626.html
There are some data there to alter some registry settings to tweak this. Or I suppose you have to re-install Jetico. I myself had to give up ZA firewall, because it shutdown on me using Torpark + Privoxy, and now I have switched to COMODO Firewall together with the free COMODO BOClean there are no longer any problems.

Thanks Polonus -
Yes - I use Mozilla suite, peer guardian, but I’ve been using Avast for over 6 months with no problem. I’ll try a new install - anybody else have ideas? thks in advance
