I wanna preface by saying I love the avast antivirus and I’m currently subscribed with a 1-year premium avast subscription.
The problem I’m faced with is that avast cleanup premium which I never really used automatically renewed, which surprised me so I INSTANTLY sent a refund request. I was assured that the refund would be received, and I was very relieved. But then as it turns out, paypal emails me, says the refund has been received, the money adds up, but guess what, the money is not received, I have checked to see there are no other transactions, the balance is not received in my bank account either, I have checked all of the transactions there as well, the trace of my money stops at the paypal transaction saying REFUNDED but no money has been received anywhere. To me it seems like something a scammer could do to manipulate the PayPal refund system by making PayPal think it has been refunded so that the customer can do literally nothing, but I thoroughly believe Avast is a genuine company (as I said I actually use their product and have been for years) and I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, and I will pursue this until I get my money back. (53,74 USD, I am not very financially stable, whereas this money means a shitload to me and I’d like to be rightfully refunded and not, well… “scammed” basically).
Any help is appreciated. Has this happened to anyone else?
And I will f**ing pursue this until it is solved (I’ve tried my best to contain my anger and frustration through this post, sorry)
