Where is scan log

When I D/L a file and right-click/scan it the process happens very quickly and I can’t see the log that says the file is OK. Where is this log or how do I create it so can look at it and see the file is safe. Also do I need to turn the shield off when installing new files or drivers, if so how do I do that.

When you scan a file if it shows nothing afterwards it means it found nothing.It scans fairly quick because the item is usualy relatively small.So if it shows nothing then nothing is amiss.

  • To change the default settings - right click the avast ‘a’ icon, Program Settings, Common section, Show Explorer Extension Results.
