Where is the menu button to see pop-up warning history?

There is no such thing.
You can only view the last pop-up by right clicking the avast icon near the clock.

Yeah, I could never see how something like that might be useful, being aware of what happened while one is away from their machine for periods of time, being alerted to an event by being able to set popup duration to “until dismissed by user.” And a small ASCII text log file to keep a running list of all such events wouldn’t be useful either and would be terribly difficult to implement.

There are already such files. They are called log files and are in plain text.
