Why avast! not detect brazilian trojan encrypted?

I don’t believe in this feedback site.

Hi Henrique - RJ,

Anyway thanks for reporting these detection flaws here.
I sincerely hope avast development team will come to meet your concerns,
the more because their Brazilian av-market position demands this.
Be asured the avast team always “reads over our shoulders” here,
and they are aware what lives inside our community.
They won’t react here but you will see the results in due time,
of that I am certain,

polonus

You can also use this contact form which goes directly to Avast.

You can put a link to this topic if you want.

When will we have a reply ?

.

Or contact via virus AT avast dot com,
and mail them your detections, concerns and suggestions,

Henrique, can you help me help the others?
Please, post the VT links of the files that are not being detected.
I’ll try to get the attention of the virus lab.

@Polonus, thanks for bringing me to this post

Always thelatest scan that was available.

Ok. Thanks. Let’s wait for the virus lab info. I’ve tried to catch their attention.

No problem.

There are actually many vendors who dont detect it,not just avast.

Plus, scan links are like 4 days old,I guess avast must have caught up

That the scans are 4 days old doesn,t mean that Avast has caught up these.

Here you can see the update history: http://www.avast.com/de-de/virus-update-history

Some Exploits have been added today.

I have sent Avast these files but they are still not detected:

Well considering even the big player bitdefender misses it we are doing a great job here.Keep it up gang! ;D

Just to be fair i sent the files to the vendors which are not detecting this.

The problem the brazilian trojans ( crypted ) today is that avast! does not detect by the heuristic and to for sandbox analysis.

Not true…sigs, sandbox, heuristics are not ultimate defense.URL Blocker, filerep and additional defenses like MBAM Pro are always needed.

Avast improved a LOT since v5 to v9 will bring in great stuff too.Guys, anyone tried to check if evo-gen or filerepmalware detects this while execution.Keep working to improve avast detection, never give up!

You can send me the files via mail if you want, i will run them in a VM with Windows 7 Professional and Avast 2014 beta 2.

I really like your initiative to keep testing avast v9,thanks so much!! ;D

The only thing that canget into play is Gmail which will detect this as malware, but i also have a private address which i can give him.

And here is an DeepScreen detection as Screenshot.

OK lets not go OT here,PMed you steven ;D
