Why can't I connect to .NET Messenger Service?

hi dears,

I created Hotmail ID, I use Windows Messenger 4.7.3001 (Win_XP_PRO_SP3).

I can’t sign in by Windows Messenger :-. my .NET Messenger Service Status: All systems are stable and running. :o

please help me! :wink:

Isn’t messenger 4 a really old version?

Can you sign in on www.hotmail.com?

Hya! get rid of Windows Messenger!! it’s outdated and not supported anymore

get latest version Live Messenger from http://download.live.com/ (first you would download installer and then installer would download and install it for you through internet, it would take hours on dial-up)
and if you don’t like to use an online installer to install it, you may choose one alternative messenger.
for an alternative to Yahoo/MSN/ICQ/AOL/GoogleTalk/IRC and… I like pidigin messenger, it would let you go online with multiple account with many different server.
