I am told that my computer is infected and running slow and could pay for this too be corrected
what the hell do I pay Avast Premier for if not to stop all this ,or am I just being ripped off ?? >:(
Some information might help us to help you.
What/who told you that your system is infected?
What has been detected, file name, location and malware name, a screenshot of the detection would also help ?
some the notes that i get are from windows pc cleaners and also that i have 13 viruses which i could pay to have removed , I tried to get the Avast safe browser but was told that the client is not privileged what does this mean please and is my system safe ??
IS MY COMPUTER SAFE WITH AVAST PREMIER ?
@ ltunstall, You still haven’t said what pc cleaners, if these cleaners are wanting money to finish the job then they’re a scam and more than likely detecting Avast signatures.
IS MY COMPUTER SAFE WITH AVAST PREMIER ?as safe as you can be. NO security program have 100% detection or zero false positives, if they did there would not be a malware problem
from the description it sounds as you may have a fake/rouge program displaying fake infection messages to scam you from buying somthing
Malware removal team here in the forum will assist you and remove the crap for free if you want?
I am very wary about programs that tell you your infected and then ask you to pay.
As asked we need information on these cleaners (as mentioned these in there right could be malicious) and crucially the other information asked on details of these infections. Many will call so called tracking cookies as malicious when they aren’t.
So we can’t really speculate what the truth is one way or another with no details.
I have just turned on my computer and the whole screen was populated with warning notices
that my passwords could be at risk
also when i tried to click on Avast safe browser all i get is (SAFE ZONE BROWSER CANNOT READ AND WRITE TO ITS DATA DIRECTORY) C:/SFZONE_PROFILE
What does this mean is my computer safe ?
thanks.
Attach your basic diagnostic logs. (MBAM, FRST and aswMBR)

Hi ltunstall
The SafeZone issue can be solved like this :
- Start - Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs - Avast! - Change.
- Change.
- Uncheck SafeZone.
- Continue.
- Reboot.
Now follow the same procedure, but in step 3 you check SafeZone to install it again.
( For the malware related issues follow the instructions Asyn has posted above )
Greetz, Red.
Despite the problems Avast has (as any other Security Suite product) it is for sure more reliable than “free cleaners claiming $$ for something”! It seems your PC has either some kind of virus or just some program stuffed with ADs and similar stuff that is annoying… I would recommend you to uninstall these “cleaners” (maybe with Revo Uninstaller or other program that better clean registers and leftovers than the standard uninstallers of these apps!) and reboot. Clean the registry once more (with something non stuffed with Ads like CCleaner) then perform a Boot Scan with Avast to see if any “real threat” is on your PC!
Sorry but running all these registry cleaners could wind up with more problems than the user currently has.
The best advise was given in the following reply by Asyn:

Following that advice will get Itunstall help from someone trained in removing these annoyances.
This behaviour means that you computer seems infected by some evil malware. Malware who tries to get you money.
Do you have an image of your system from the time before that occured? The go back to this image.
If not, I would make a new system installation; before don’t forget to save you private data to a safe place (external disk).
why make it complicated?
if he attach the requested logs from the instuctions posted above by asyn, then a removal expert will remove this an any other crap he find in 5 minutes
