In France page opened 1,123 second.That is not the time for a page to load. That is the time taken to generate the page on the server.

I don’t think anyone changed anything yet Bob… it’s like that all the time. Sometimes it’s fast and smooth, and all of a sudden, boom… nothing works as it should work. Could it be that all those animated avatars and our signatures are choking the server ? I mean, some of them are 100 and something kb in physical size. I know that avatars are not hosted on this server, but still forum needs a significant time to recall them from other places where all those avatars are located…

Sasha I’ve tried loading without Avatars and signatures and that didn’t make any difference last night.
I finally just turned it off and went to bed.
Now (03.15H GMT) it is working like it should. But as it has been going on for the last few weeks, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if the board will get slow again within a few hours from now.
Things like this can happen, but what really surprises me (and disapoints me!) is that sofar none of the Alwil crew has responded. gggrrrrr

I’m hoping it because this the weekend. Cause there are a few other post’s that also rquire their attention. 
Bob, for the last few months it has always been TOO slow in the weekends and at the times I mentioned before. This is NOT normal. The problem is with the server this board is on. For some very odd reason that server is not capable of handling the requests, although there are only 5 or 6 people using the board. Even mu board (while I only have 14Kbs upstream for it) is always much faster, while Alwil has (if I’m correct) somewhere around 3Gbs upstream. Slowly but surely I get the impression that Alwil is getting ‘ripped off’.
OK, besides today’s slowdowns now and then, I also got the following message twice within a few minutes:

Again, again… Too slooooowwww here 
For me it seems to suffer hangs when clicking on the Reply or Quote and opening in the same tab, so I tend to use the quick reply or opening the Reply or Quote in a different tab seems to clear the blockage. Then there is the delay in Post to getting the page displayed.
I know we now have over 10,000 forum members, but they aren’t all using the forums, only 85 at present.
