Why won’t my BT email account open? Its been a week or more and my BT a/c won’t open in Avast. I have to open it in Google Chrome or Firefox. No problem with those ISPs!
First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
Why won’t it open, e.g. what error messages, etc. are you getting ?
I can only assume that you mean when using Avast Secure Browser (ASB) and not the Antivirus Free Antivirus / Premium Security sub-forum that you have posted in.
I don’t use ASB so I can’t speak from personal experience, I also don’t use my browser to connect to BT, but use Thunderbird to download my email
Thanks David. I get a quick view of a tiny Username, Password and Log In before it rolls round to a BT logo and then rolls round to a tiny Username, Password and Log In ad infinitum. There is no time to fill in the tiny Username and Password. I will try to send a screenshot if this lets me after I press “Reply” below but I can’t see an attachment button currently.

You can Drag & Drop - Create a screenshot on your computer and save it locally. Using windows explorer or other file management system drag and drop into your post when creating or editing.
Have you tried adding the BT URL to the Avast exceptions, though given it works for other browsers, I would have expected it to work in ASB. However it could also be BT blocking ASB, hard to say as I don’t use ASB.

What Avast version of Avast were you having this with 25.5.xxxx, 25.6xxxx, there has just been a new version release 25.7.xxxx. So there is a possibility that or BT have done some site updates.
