Will activation code expire if not activated on the same day?

I am using Avast Internet Security 7, one-year license for 3PCs. I have already activated Avast for two PCs only. 74 days after activating Avast on the first 2 PCs, I wanted to install and activate Avast I.S. on a third PC. But, Avast keeps on rejecting the activation code. Could it be that the activation code had expired? If so, how long is the grace period between activations for separate PCs?

All 3 PCs are running on Windows 7. My current subscription status on the first 2 PCs is Active, with 291 days remaining.

No, if you’ve a license for 3 PCs you should be able to use it on your third machine.
What does avast! say, when you try to enter your license…??

The error message was something like “The code you entered is invalid. Make sure the code is valid and is not mis-typed”. I’m sorry I couldn’t get a screenshot of the error message as the PC I was working on does not belong to me.

So, you did give away your license to a third party…??

Hi TangerineSentry,
Maybe you need to submit a support ticket here: https://support.avast.com/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=submit.

Hello, Asyn and liubomirwm. Thank you so much for your responses. I managed to solve the problem already, Avast Internet Security 7 on the third PC has been successfully activated by using an activation file sent to me from Avast. I didn’t notice it before as I wasn’t able to search through my e-mail inbox due to persistent bad internet connection.

Thanks again for your responses!

You’re welcome.
