WIN 32 in CABS?

I recently started having trouble with my computer after a pop up add containing the fake virus scanner opened. I ran MalwareBytes, Spybot, and Bitdefender which all found no problems. I downloaded Avast and it found to problem files on its first full scan. After that scan a message appeared twice saying that there was a problem and suggested the boot time scan. It finds 4 problems with each boot scan but it will not allow me to do anything with the files. I get an error when trying to place the problem files in the chest. It ONLY finds these problem files in the bootime scan and my computer is still running slow like the trojan/virus is still there.

My CPU usage is at 100% when I try to use Internet Explorer. The task manager shows iexplore.exe and explorer.exe each running at 30-70%

I am using Windows XP

The files that Avast finds on the boot time scan:

C:\CABS\WIN_16.CAB|>cmdl32.exe Win 32: Malware_gen
C:\CABS\WIN_16.CAB|>cmstp.exe Win 32: Malware_gen
C:\CABS\WIN_16.CAB|>dplaysvr.exe Win 32: Spyware_gen [spy]
C:\CABS\WIN_17.CAB|>tapi16.exe Win 32: Trojan_gen

I receive error 42111 operation not supported when I try to move the files to the chest.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

What is C:\CABS?
