Win-32: Trojan-gen (other)

Hi, I’ve found lots of similar posts about this but nothing seems to sort it out

The virus turned up in my temporary files, and in a firefox user profile folder, but Avast was unable to move it or delete it. I tried turning off system restore and rebooting, and a bootscan.
I then tried to delete the file manually, and emptied the recycle bin. Avast still shows the file as being in the recycle bin, even though its empty, and cannot remove it. I’ve just run Dr Web, and that showed the system as clean. Whats going on?

Cheers

Lynsey

Which is the file name?
Does avast even detected it after the bootscan returned clean?

The bootscan isn’t returning clean- it shows this file, but can’t do anything with it.

C:$RECYCLE.BIN\S-1-5-21-899520093-1739684545-320909311-1000$RQIFBOY.default\Cache\33FB612Bd01cracked.rar\ext.dll

Will emptying your Recycle Bin help?

I’ve done that, its showing as empty, but the virus location is still coming up as recycle bin

This may help:

Thanks Frank! Sorted.
