I am having the same problem as others. Starting today, I am getting a blue screen on start up. When trying to start up in Safe Mode, Windows stops at awsRVRT.sys. I’ve attached the FRST.txt file. Any help is greatly appreciated.
December 3, 2013: Just wanted to make sure someone has seen this message since I have not heard from anyone. I see the attachment has been downloaded 4 times. Any luck figuring out the problem? Thanks again for any help that can be provided.
Same here, bog standard XP install, updated Avast two days ago and now it blue screens seconds after start up. Rolling back windows to earlier points doesn’t help but deleting Avast does so that’s clearly the problem.

Let’s try to use a restore point. Download the attached fixlist.txt to the same location as FRST
Run FRST as before and press fix
On completion try a reboot to normal windows.
