Today I did a full scan and about half of my Real Arcade games I have had for months seemed to have this virus. No previous checks have had any problem with RA downloaded games and I have about 40-50.
I have redownloaded them without problems all except one. This triggers of the warning at once and stops the install process.
It has not happened until today and no-one else seems to have problems with this download and their virus checkers. What options do I have as it is a game I like and have had for over 6 mnths.
thanks
I have the Home Edition of Avast and am running Windows XP Pro ???
If it is indeed a false positive, add it to the exclusions lists (Standard Shield, Customize, Advanced and Program Settings, Exclusions) and periodically check it (scan it in the chest), there should still be a copy in the chest even though you restored it to the original location. When it is no longer detected then you can also remove it from the Standard Shield and Program Settings, exclusions.
Also see (Mini Sticky) False Positives, how to report and what to do to exclude them until the problem is corrected.
