Win32:Delf-MZG false positive - anyone with Vista 64 bit?

I had an FP yesterday on skypepm and unfortunately hit delete.

I didn’t get any other FPs after that. I have not rebooted since, just waited for the fix. I updated the VPS when the fix came out and still have seen no more false positives. Skype actually came up with an update which I installed and now the skypepm file is back in place.

I’m on Vista 64 and have the home edition of avast. I think that means that I don’t have the boot time scan available and so it shouldn’t do a scan when I boot and start deleting files.

Has anyone who has the home edition had the boot-time scan start up anyway and cause havoc?

Also any more information available from Vista 64bit users here?

I think that means that I don't have the boot time scan available and so it *shouldn't* do a scan when I boot and start deleting files.
The boot scan is not something that happens, YOU have do start it. And if you have 64bit os there is no boot scan

Thanks Pondus for confirming that for me.

I am very interested in anyone who is on 64bit posting their experiences through this problem.

I have Windows 7 64-bit and I did not panic and I do not miss the boot scan as the resident protection is excellent.

I think I have only run a boot scane once on my XP Pro system when I first installed avast!.

By the way, avast! V5 that is now in beta testing is scheduled for an early January 2010 release.

So YoKenny, you had no problems with yesterday’s false positives problem at all?

I know enough to not select delete so I had no problem as the infected files were moved to the Chest.

I knew they had to be FPs as I have had the detected applications for a long time.
