K, need a little help. When I did a scan, it moved all the files to the moved folder instead of the virus chest. I guess when I started I hit the wrong key somewhere and everything it started detecting as a virus went to the moved folder.
I’ve updated Avast with 091203-1. Now how do I restore those files.

The files you moved and renamed will be in the C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\DATA\moved folder and will have had the .vir suffix added to the file name.
You need to rename them by removing ‘just’ the .vir at the end and leave the rest alone. Now you need to copy them back to the original location.
Sorry I can’t help directly with the location they should be. You will need to look in the avast log viewer or warning.log for the information on the detections, that will show where the file was located.
Check the avast! Log Viewer (right click the avast ‘a’ icon), Warning section, this contains information on all avast detections. C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashLogV.exe
