Win32: downloader-pku [trj]

Earlier today I was infected with “Live Security Platinum” fake virus scanner. I ran Malwarebytes and Avast. I think it cleared all of that out (at least, it stopped popping up and locking me out of .exe-s). But now I keep getting an Avast pop-up red box alerting me to Win32: downloader-pku [trj].

Following the directions from this thread: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0, here are my logs.

Thanks for the help!

Hi katelisim,

Could you please attach the aswMBR log in your next reply?

Sure! Here it is.

Avast prompted a boot scan. I went ahead with that. Some infected files came up that I deleted. However, some were in the Windows file; it asked if I was sure I wanted to continue with an action. That made me unsure which action to take, so I skipped those.

I reran the OTL and aswMBR in case it changed anything.

things can really get messy if you’re already infected with a virus. have you tried this?

anyway, just googled it. i’d rather reinstall windows if get infected with a really serious virus instead of trying to fix everything the virus messed up.
