Win32:Dropper-gen [Drp] Detected Each Time Attempting to Uninstall Yahoo Toolbar

My computer has been a bit slow lately, so I decided to see if removing some unwanted programs might speed things up. When I attempt to uninstall Yahoo Toolbar from Add or Remove Programs, it does not uninstall, and each time I try, Avast (free version) detects and quarantines Win32:Dropper-gen [Drp]. What can I do to remove Yahoo Toolbar, and the virus which still seems to be present even though it’s supposedly quarantined and deleted each time it’s detected? I don’t know much about this type of thing.

Thanks for any help.

Attach the requested logs on help with malware removal to your next post.

Where can I find that? I’m assuming it’s a forum post with instructions in it, however, my search through the forums turned up nothing.

I’m sorry; this is my first time on this site.

I see you were talking about the ‘Logs to assist in cleaning malware’ post. I will hopefully have time to follow the instructions and attach the logs tomorrow.

Thanks.
