I have the Win32:Kryptic-DY [Trj] virus in my infected files
File name is y.exy
File ID is 4
How can I get rid of it?
I keep getting pop ups from this virus. And yes I do have avast downloaded.

come back and tell us if it worked and post the scan log here
If it keeps coming back, there is likely to be an undetected or hidden element to the infection that restores or downloads the file again. Then MBAM as suggested to see if it can find the file responsible for restoring it.
What is your firewall ?
You could also try SAS, SUPERantispyware On-Demand only in free version.
