win32 malware gen bejeweled deluxe 2.exe file

Hi,

I want to ask you about virus win32 malware gen, Yesterday avast detect that the file bejeweled deluxe-wt.exe had the virus win32 malware- gen. I scanned it with the virustotal page and these are the results:

https://www.virustotal.com/es-ar/file/9270580953d822069e75483188e4ebef043248c4c5220e1f24b62447cd67ffab/analysis/

From 55 antivirus only two detect virus, one is avast with the virus malware gen and the other is kingsoft with virus uknown. So i want to ask you if it could be posible that in this case the virus informed by avast could be a false positive. The file is very old (2011) and came with computer (HP), the virus appears with the date definition 20140909. i send this information and also the file to avast by I didnt receive an answer yet. I’ll be very grateful if you help me.

Many thanks!
Edith

Many thanks for your answer. I installed the latest vps and analyze again the file from the virus chest and it continues informing that the file is with virus.

Many thanks for your help.I reported the problem to virus@avast.com and attached the file. I supposed that it was the same. For old i refer about the signature date of the file (2010). Sorry.

I want to thank you because with today’s definition virus database 140917-1 the problem is solved. Avast no longer informed a virus on the file bejeweled deluxe. Many thanks!

I don’t work for avast, but thanks for reporting it and letting us know that it is solved.
