I sent it to the SandBox… so, I was wondering, is there any risk if I delete the file that was infected… I not even know what function does that file have in Windows…
it is not infected… it is detected as PUP - not a virus / Possible Unwanted Program
if you put your mouse pointer on the vertical bar just in front of “Ultima Modificacion” and dragg sideways, then we can see the full file path and may be able to tell you what it is
I expanded all of the columns the most I could, they don’t have anymore written…
When Avast detected it, the screen read something like this: Bcool infected with (insert that thing name here)
I would have made an screen caption but I think that’s not possible when the system is just booting, right?
What is Bcool for anyway?
I think I will have to do another scan like this one in a couple of days… this one I did not take it to the end because I didn’t have time so I just got to find this PUP
You know, I run into the Bcool website before coming here, but I concluded I had arrived to the wrong place because I really don’t remember downloading it, ever… That’s why I was wondering should I just right click over the file in the SandBox and delete?
That WOT thing looks useful… I already use Avast Web Reputation, AVG Do Not Track and AddsBlockPlus… I guess it wouldn’t hurt adding one more web safety thingy to the browser (I know, you are probably thinking I’m a complete paranoid)
