I have 2 windows system 32 that are infected files with this virus and I am unable to fix,delete or move to chest. Tried both in safe mode and and with a boot scan. The files are c:\windows\system 32\WINNINET.dll and c:\windows\system 32\POWRPROF.dll
Was wondering if anyone can tell me how to get rid of this. Haven’t really noticed anything running different but just the same don’t want it.
Also had a couple of other files that were infected with it but was able to move them to the chest.
Since you cannot move the infected files to the chest, probably best to go to HiJackThis
http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/tools/security_tools/hijackthis/qsg and run a scan of your computer.
Reply post the HiJackThis log here. Some useful details may be unearthed.
Also you could go to virus total http://www.virustotal.com/.
See if you can upload infected files to be tested there. Again, perhaps some useful details.
Avast forum may have clearer picture of your problem.
Are the infected files present in both operational systems or just one?
