Win32:Ramnit-G

So a few weeks ago I had a serious infection, it was Win32:Ramnit-G and Avast and MBAM couldn’t keep up with it. Literally infected 1000’s of my files an hour.

As suggested on this forum I did a clean install of windows and that should of got rid of it.

I did a scan the day I got my PC back from the repair shop, and it had a worm on it, so I moved it to the chest, did a boot time scan and low and behold, it found 7 Win32:Ramnit-G’s, I moved them to the chest.

I was under the impression that reinstalling windows was the way to get rid of it.

However, I’ve done several scans with Avast and MBAM since and found nothing, when I was infected 1000’s of my files were infected each day.

The first thing I did when I got my PC back was to install Commodo Firewall and Avast Antivirus.

So, do you think I’m still infected with this virus?

If you did bring it to a repair shop, they should fix it for you for free, imo.
