Hi,
thanks!
Here are the RogueKiller txt files.
But I can’t get the OTL step done… When I do as described OTL crashes (The OTL window says the program doesn’t respond) and even windows crashed and turned of my computer.
I didn’t have had the Avast message for Win32:trojan-gen and Win32:malware-gen for an hour though.
OK lets confirm that RogueKiller did slay the beast as it is a new function that has been added
Also could you run a fresh OTL all user scan on completion of combofix
Download and Install Combofix
Download ComboFix from one of the following locations:
Link 1
Link 2
VERY IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop
[*]Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.
[*]Accept the disclaimer and allow to update if it asks
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v706/ried7/NSIS_disclaimer_ENG.png
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v706/ried7/NSIS_extraction.png
[*]When finished, it shall produce a log for you.
[*]Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.
Notes:
Please make sure you include the combo fix log in your next reply as well as describe how your computer is running now
THEN
Run an OTL all users scan
FINALLY
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/73555776/FSS.GIF
Tick “All” options.
Press “Scan”.
It will create a log (FSS.txt) in the same directory the tool is run.
Please copy and paste the log to your reply.
Ok!
I did dissabled Avast and Ad-Aware, but ComboFix warned me the programs were still running… I runned the program anyway.
Indeed note 3 happened (3. If after the reboot you get errors about programmes being marked for deletion then reboot, that will cure it.) . Unfortunately I didn’t read the notes very well and instead of a reboot I did a system restore to an hour before downloading and running combofix… :-[ I hope I didn’t ruin it all by that.
My computers runs fine as far as I can tell now. I didn’t get any avast warnings since yesterday.
The logs are attached.
Thanks!
Could you re-run combofix please as you restored some of the malware, then follow that up with a fresh FSS log
done.
OK combofix took them out again ;D
Right click the following link and select Save Target As… to your desktop
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/73555776/bits.reg
Double click the reg file and allow to merge
Reboot and let me know what problems remain ;D
I’m not sure if I get this last step. What do you mean with ‘allow to merge’? It’s a .txt file, it just opens in notepad (i’m not sure if it’s the right name of the program, because the program has a Dutch name on my computer(kladblok)).
But as far as I can see now, my computer runs fine. No problems!
OK lets try the zip version
Download the following zip file
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/73555776/bits.zip
Extract the reg file to the desktop
Double click and allow it to merge then check windows updates
Did that. And everything works fine!
Thank you very very much for helping me out!
Cheers! Elly
Subject to no further problems
I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems
