Win32:Trojan-gen help me !!

The following is the name of virus and file they have infected on my computer.

"sign of Win32:Trojan-gen has been found in c:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\atl.dll file

How can I remove this virus from my Pc ?

My OS is Windows 98 Second Edition

1.disconnect from the internet(first update you virus database)
2.Run full system scan.Try to repair or move to chest theinfected file.
3.Try ad-aware,spybot S&D or Microsoft antispayware
4.You can shedule boot-time-scan.

This option is not available to non-NT OS users (such a win98), that ‘Il Mulo’ said is his OS.

You might however, try a boot into safe mode and from there run avast scan.

I will try, but I tried yesterday and my computer do not started in safe mode, do you have any suggestion ?

Nothing ,absolutely nothing happen !

I restart and press down the F8 key, the PC ask to me in which modality I want to start and I select “Safe mode” press the “return Key” and wait , after 3-4 minutes that I’m waiting I must restart with “ctrl+Alt+Del” !

I will try other times this evening, now I’m not at home !
