Win32: Trojan-gen{Other}, problem with USB Flash Memory

Well, avast deletes this virus efficiently from my USB Flash Memory, but my USB Flash memory gets anyiong. I always get this virus from the computers of my school (they had an antique system and an unefficient antivirus), then i get rid of this virus when i get home.

The problem is that after desinfectation of my USB Flash my system (Windows XP) recognizes my USB Flash as an autorun aplication (i think this execute the virus) and not as a data storage drive, so i have to right click on my USB unit then select Explore and then i have to copy the data of my USB memory to my Hard Disk, then i format my USB memory to get rid of this.

This slove the problem but is very annoying because i have to use my USB memory everyday on the school so i have to do this steps everyday :-.

Somebody knows a better way to make the USB memory “Normal” again?.

Try this:

Maybe this helps…

[*] Download Flash Drive Disinfector and save it to your desktop.
[*] Double-click Flash_Disinfector.exe to run it and follow any prompts that may appear.
[*] The utility may ask you to insert your flash drive and/or other removable drives including your mobile phone. Please do so and allow the utility to clean up those drives as well.
[*] Wait until it has finished scanning and then exit the program.
[*] Reboot your computer when done.
[*] Note: Flash Disinfector will create a hidden folder named autorun.inf in each partition and every USB drive plugged in when you ran it. Don’t delete this folder… it will help protect your drives from future infection.

[*] After you get clean, I also suggest you use Net Studio USB FireWall to avoid further infection.
