Avast find:
Win32:Trojan-gen. {Other}
C:\Windows\system32\explorer.exe
What I can make?
I Have AMD Duron 800/20GB/258 RAM/WinXP Pro/SP1
Whilst explorer.exe is a valid filename, the location is wrong, the proper location for it is C:\windows (my xp pro SP2 files location) and not windows\system32, so it is likely that the one picked up by avast is a trojan.
What did you do when it was detected?
I suspect that you were unable to do anything, because it was running and or in a windows protected folder.
Disable system restore, reboot and schedule a boot-time scan from the avast menu.

Anyone can advise me how to delete this Win32:Trojan-gen.{Other} virus ?
Cause it kept restarting my computer. I try to del it but it affect my file under C:\windows\swinin32.dll
and when i try to del. it kept saying the file is protected. anyone pls help me with detailed ssteps how to delete it.
i saw previous msg saying diable system restore how to go abt it ?
after that, reboot and what i shld do ?
