Win32: Trojano-324 (Trj)

Does anyone know what the Win32: Trojano-324 is and if it is bad to have on my computer? Is it really a virus? What exactly is it?

Any info would be appreciated.

T

Why do you think Avast has Win32: Trojano-324 in its vps? Ofocurse it is malware.

But if a file is detected as being infected by it, it can be a false positive. So move it to the chest and check it on Jotti. If multiple av utils say it is bad, than it really is. If only Avast says it is bad, it can be a false positive or something Avast is detecting as first. In the last case send the file in a password protected zip to virus@avast.com for analyses.

Avast detected it on my system and the warning came up that it was a virus.

What do you mean by Malware?

What if it is a false positive and I move the file to the chest - what happens to the program that needs it?

MALWARE:
Malware (short for “malicious software”) is any program or file that is harmful to a computer user. Thus, malware includes computer viruses, worms, Trojan horses, and also spyware, programming that gathers information about a computer user without permission.

What if it is a false positive and I move the file to the chest - what happens to the program that needs it?
The application will likely stop working or starts giving errors.

What file was/is being detected as infected and what is its location?

C:\Program files\Common Files\GMT\gtrawbm_fil.INT
C:\Program Files\Common Files\ttpphcan\tnetpeetaj\dfpjfnhfl.exe
C:\Program Files\Common Files\ttpphcan\rnbtnnjp\lpphfnnj.exe

They definatly look like files I never want on my systems

Thank you for your time.

So at this point these files dont appear to be viruses but they appear to be Malware - correct?

I know that the GMT file belongs to my Gator eWallet - I dont want to loose that program so how to I go about keeping my Gator eWallet and getting rid of the virus warning when using the avast program??

The other 2 files - I have not been able to find out what they belong to but I will keep looking.

So at this point these files dont appear to be viruses but they appear to be Malware - correct?
That is correct.

We are here to help people remove malware not to keep it.
I very strongly advise you to remove and not use eWallet. It is a security risk.

The decission is ofcourse yours. A secured system or the risk that your personal info gets all over the net.
If you really want to keep it, just add it to the Avast exclusion list.
