Win32:Trojano-343 nothing on Google

Good morning

XP kept up to date, and with SP2. HJT log is clean.

Sign of “Win32:Trojano-343 [Trj]” has been found in “C:\Documents and Settings\GF\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\6JYLAZOX\bridge-c18[1].cab\WinadX.dll” file.

No info about this trojan on Google or this forum. Can’t find anything in english on WinadX.dll either.

Repair option didn’t work so I moved it to the chest. As it was in temporary internet files I’m just going to do a disk cleanup and run a couple more scans.

Anything else I should do? It’s had no visible effect on my system.

Does the fact that it was in Temporary Internet Files mean it was picked up from the internet or could it have come from some unscanned photo CDs that I let my friend edit on my machine last week? (I started scanning them but it was just taking too long and as they were all .jpg I thought it was safe)

thanks

gf

Delete all temporary files (not just in the inet section, but all) and you should be fine. Sofar I see no reason to worry.

Since it is in the temporary internet files folder, it is something put there likely when you where browsing a malicious site. Run a scan after cleaning up the system to make sure your system is clean.
