Win95:Spaces-1445-B virus on my pc

my pc is infected with Win95:Spaces-1445-B virus and it infected even avast anti virus too. how do i remove it now since all executable files are infected? i read somthing about the that virus. it says to be a memory resident one. help me pls!!! reply asap!!! :-\ :cry:

  • Your Operating System, is it up to date?
    • Youe email program - if applicable.
    • avast! version and VPS file (virus database) number, e.g. 0436-4 (see about avast!)
    • Virus Name - infected filename
    • Location of infected file, e.g. C:\windows\system32\infectedfilename.exe

WOOHOOOOO!!! I GOT THE VIRUS REMOVED FROM MY PC!!! BIG THANKS WHOCARES FOR THE LINK ON THAT WIN95 SPACES VIRUS REMOVAL TOOL, AND THANK YOU TOO DAVID. it all works no need to reformat. anyways, im still using win98 SE, avast virus database, 9/92004, infected files were all those exe files, which sums up up to 23,000 +++. my avast version is 4.1 home edition. once again, BIG THANK YOU GUYS!!! AND MORE POWER TO AVAST!!! PEACE!!! :smiley: ;D

LOL. IM SORRY, NOT 23,000 +++ EXE FILES BUT ALL THE FILES THAT GOT INFECTED. :slight_smile:

Glad to hear that you are up and running again.

I would echo what whocares said, read that thread and some of the others at the top of each of the forums (home/pro, general, virus & worms and off-topic), the ones with a folder icon with a pin through it.

These are sticky and are always at the top of each forum (so they are easier to find) as they contain useful reference information.
