Windows 10 - Avast Free Antivirus Full Virus Scan stuck at 0%

Hi,

i just installed Avast Free Antivirus and performed a Full Virus Scan but the percentage complete is stuck at 0%.

I tried a repair in Add/Remove programs and also I made sure I don’t have any other antivirus or anti malware software on my computer but I still don’t know how much of the scan the software has completed. I did check in protection to a previous scan and seen it did check X GB of data so it works but I want to know how long do I have left (SSD is about 400GB full)

Mine seems to stay at 0% for a good while ,then it slowly starts to increase i find, try letting it run for an hour or so then check it out.

The progress indicator is buggy and avast (still) needs to fix it.
Just let the scan run and have patience.

Thanks for the reply, having the percentage complete or expected completion time would be nice. hopefully Avast can fix it.

Are you using the latest version of Avast? Maybe you can even test the beta (https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=204425.msg1403134#msg1403134). Thanks.

There is no current beta. Version 17.5.2302 is the current release version.
