Windows 7 hangs on aswRvrt.sys in safe mode

Hello,

I saw that there were many posts regarding this issue. Whenever I boot my computer in normal mode, it immediately crashes after the windows 7 logo. When I choose the system repair, it just sits on the blue windows screen, and when I boot into start mode it gets to that file, sits for a few minutes, before crashing and restarting.

I don’t have a windows install disc currently, either. I’m writing this on my friend’s computer, so if I need to download things to usb I can.

I’m running Windows 7 64bit with avast installed.

Thanks for any help.

Hi,

Since I don’t fully know all the steps, I’ll get a remover for you.

Download the following three programmes to your desktop :

  1. Rufus

For 64bit systems
2. Windows 7 64bit RC link will be sent by PM
3. Farbar Recovery Scan Tool x64

Insert the USB stick Then run Rufus

Press Start Burn
