I’ve come across a few similar threads here with the same problem. I’ve run Farbar and have the result text. Never used this forum before; I don’t see an option to upload the text file anywhere?

Initially I will remove the Kaspersky drivers and see if that cures it
Download the attached fixlist.txt to the same location as FRST
Run FRST and press fix
Try a normal boot on completion
Thanks, before I run this, just one additional piece of info: Kaspersky had been on my PC for quite some time. Licence expired, so I uninstalled and installed Avast. A while later I again uninstalled Avast and reinstalled Kaspersky. So I’m wondering if the problem is not more likely to be lingering Avast drivers, rather than Kaspersky?
OK scrub that fix then and run this one instead
No luck unfortunately, still get exact same error (on aswrvrt.sys) on reboot.
OK this will remove avast and its services/drivers, if after this it stops on mup.sys I have another fix ready
