Hello guys,
Windows does not boot. It is Windows 7 64 bit. No recovery option worked and safe mode also does not work.
I got to command prompt through repair and got log for Farbar Recovery Scan Tool as request in other topics of similar nature.
Please help me on that?
Thanks in advance.
Regards
From the command prompt type the following :
chkdsk c: /r
On completion try a normal boot

Thanks essexboy.
I had tried chkdsk yesterday, it ran successfully. But normal or repair mode still didn’t work.
Found fntcache.dat file which I have deleted. But no success.
I have started chkdsk again as you have suggested.

This is the problem, normally a chkdsk r will clear that

After checkdsk r and checkdsk f also I am not able to boot in normal and safe mode.
On fbar scan still see this line …
ATTENTION: Software hive is not loaded.
Is there any mechanism to fix it?
Thanks in advance
Lets try to reset the registry
Download the attached fixlist.txt to the same location as FRST
Run FRST and press fix
On completion try a normal boot

Thanks essexboy.
I resolved the issue by load the system hive in registry and modifying the Start key for all SATA drivers to 0 ( from 3 ). [mentioned in of the tech forums]

Not sure if that was the correct solution but it fixed the system and its up and running.
thanks for all your help and responses.
One of the multiple reasons for this problem to occur, no one really knows why this happens though
