Windows (all but one) from the previous session opens hidden and unusable

From two days ago (Thursday 13 February 2020), all the windows opened during the previous session open hidden in the background and permanently unusable (unless someone solves the problem without causing the permanent loss of these windows) except the window that was active at the end of the previous session, which is the only one to open normally visible and usable.
(I can hear the audio of two Youtube videos that are in those unusable windows in the background and start automatically)
(in my settings, in the “at startup” section, “Automatically start Avast Secure Browser at computer startup” is selected, while in the “new session” section are selected both “continue where you were left” and “open the New Tab window”)
(“broken” windows have no more video output but they have still audio output; I want to have their video output again working, avoiding a permanent lost of them)

The selection for what to open at startup is one or the other.
You can select start where I left off and New Tab.
It’s a toggle when you select one, it turn off the other selection.

It is not what I want.
I want to get newly visible and usable the windows the currently are hidden and unusable in the background.

Sorry I don’t know what you’re trying to explain. Maybe a screenshot would help. ???

I have took two screenshots, unfortunately, when I press “fn” + “Windows” keys to take the screenshots (on my keyboard, screenshots are taken while pressing the combination of keys “fn”+“windows”+“stamp”), the bar that lists the open windows disappears, however, thanks to the audio tool pre-installed on the computer, in the second screenshot I succeeded to include an image of one of the two videos that outside of the audio tool are invisible.
I hope to succeed to get a more explanatory video screenshot in the next days.

Maybe it’s a language problem but, your images don’t help.
I still don’t know what problem you’re trying to convey.
It might make more sense if you posted your concerns in the forum that’s in your language.
You can find your language here, https://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=21.0

@simodel96
Is it hidden tabs you are having problem with? as is not very clear from your original post.
That question was raised previously here:
https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=232282.0

Unfortunately video screenshots on Microsoft Windows with the combination of keys “Windows” + “alt” + “g” are available only for games, so for the moment these are the best screenshots I have.
The next time I’ll try the combination of keys “Windows” + “alt” + “r”.

As visible in the second screenshot (“Screenshot (58).png”), the audio tool of Microsoft Windows 10 shows the image of a YouTube video which is working in background.
The problem is that I cannot see in any way the window containing it (nor nor a ten other Avast Secure Browser windows with the same bug).

Thanks for the information, I’ll try to remember this information for the future questions.
I did not know the existence of the section in Italian language before reading this message.
I arrived to the English language section from https://support.avast.com/it-it/contact/ where it is stated that the Italian support for Italian language is not available,
so I choosed the English language because among the listed languages because it is the language I know better, then I select “Prosegui” (which translated yo English means “continue”),
in that way I arrived at https://support.avast.com/en-us/contact/,
I selected “Technical support for a free Avast product” option and “next”,
in that way I arrived at https://support.avast.com/en-us/contact/free,
now I had two options: option 1) “try to write a question hoping that someone have already written the answer”, option 2) “go directly to the forum to open my question”.
So, following the instructions I reached the English section of the forum and I had no ideas about the existence of an Italian section because at the start was written that Italian support is not available.
Thanks again.

Now I duplicated the question to the Italian language forum, but I’ll continue to hold open the English language question, (there is a probability that the solution to the bug will arrive earlier from the English version than from the Italian version because most because many programmers mainly speak in English).

Are not single tabs to be hidden (each window can show up to 110 tabs before hide the righternmost tabs on my monitor when the window is in “full screen” mode, 46 in the other mode with the default window width; I know that this is not a bug, but a limit in common all browsers based on/derived from Chromium), are entire Windows to be hidden to the video output on startup of the program while before before thursday 13 february (2020) they were not hidden (this is the bug).

Trying to use the combination of keys “Windows” + “alt” + “r” I noticed that it starts working only when the two videos have finished outputting audio, so I have to temporarily disable the option “Automatically starts up Avast Secure Browser at computer’s startup” in order to get a video screenshot useful to “show” the problem in more detail (a photo screenshot cannot show something which is invisible, nor contain its audio output).

On Italian forum no one has replied yet.

After the last update of Avast Free Antivirus and Microsoft Windows 10, the bug seems to have disappeared.

Hi thanks for the report. Im glad that the issue was resolved after update.

From the previous screenshots it looks that there were more instance of the Avast Secure Browser so the videos were probably on the second ASB not on the one you took screenshot off.
For the screenshots I suggest to use Snipping tool directly implemented in windows. You should be able to find it in start menu.

If you will have any more problem let us know.
