Windows Button

I just wanna know where is the some-what called “Windows Button” and what it does.

The who what now? Never heard of it.

You can Google it, or wait a few minutes and there will be a reply telling you. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m trying to figure out whether you mean “software” or “hardware”.

There is a “Windows Key” on your keyboard, if it’s new enough. I actually use it frequently. There are many windows shortcuts that can be accessed using it.

Other than that, the only “windows button” that I can think of (software-wise) is the start menu.

You mean like the following keys on my keyboard:
= Back
= Forward
= Stop
= Mail
= Search
= Favorites
= Web/Home
= My Computer
= Calculator
= Sleep

I too use the button often. Only because I’m to lazy to drag the mouse ALL the way down to the Start button.

I agree^^I think its the start menu button(windows logo on keyboard)^^

Well, those keys are not “Standard” keyboard keys. They are manufacturer keys, that can be programed with software that accompanies the keyboard, or the computer itself.

However, yes, it should be a key on the keyboard. It’s located once or twice on the keyboard on the bottom, close to the spacebar.

Things like Windows Key + Pause/break will bring up the system properties. Windows Key + R will bring up a “Run” command window. Windows Key + E will bring up a windows explorer window, and several others.

Don’t know if that’s what you mean by a, “windows Button” though.

Thanks. I think I got button mixed up with key. Sorry about that.
