On Win 10, when I used other anti-virus software, Windows Defender automatically went dormant as soon as it detercted the other AV product, crating a nice backstop should something go wrong (like me disabling something in my stupidity). With Avast it runs concurrent, creating somewhat of a slowdown. How do I make Windows Defende dormant withiut disabling it totally?
What makes you claim that it’s not dormant ?
