Running Windows Vista Home Premium and every time try to run Windows paint it wont download .Have checked on web and it seems to be a known fault .Wondering if any of the Sages on forum have come across a solution for problem . Grateful for any help given .
Hi there, I am also using Vista Home Premium and using Microsoft Paint to do some minor jpg editing. But I have no problem here. Wonder what is the “won’t download” problem you are facing. Mind to elaborate more ?
Thanks for reply . When I click on Paint it wont launch programme .Sometimes ,after many attemps , for some reason it appears and works . Dont know why and it appears to be a common fault .
Hi j.m.reid,
I have both Vista Home Premium and Vista Home Basic and I have had no issues with paint.
Where did you find this?
Same here i got Vista Home Premium SP2 and no problem at all. If you guy want another paint i can say Adobe Photoshop or Gimp is not bad too.

This link might help.
-= If you want, I’ll send you my mspaint.exe… but the interface is for xpSP3…
Still, at the bottom you see:
APPLIES TO* Microsoft Windows 98 Standard Edition * Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 Standard Edition * Microsoft Windows NT Workstation 4.0 Developer Edition</blockquote>
Vista is not listed unless I’m missing something.
Thank you all for help / advice , appreciated . This is one of the pages I came across looking for solution to problem . http://www.donationcoder.com/Forums/bb/index.php?action=printpage;topic=16292.0 .I have now installed Paint .net as it looks unlikely to be a simple fix . Again , many thanks , you always get good replies from Avast forum .
Just an update , Paint working perfectly now , do not know why !!! Computers !!!
