Windows security warning

I have recently switched computers and installed Avast onto my new computer. Now I constantly receive a windows security alert saying Avast may not be up to date even though I have manually installed all updates available. Does anyone know why this is or how I can fix it? I did not have this problem with avast on my old computer. I appreciate anyone’s help!

Just a thought but what about turning off the windozes security alerts ??

@ lisagig
This could be as simple as the system date being incorrect, double click the clock and check the day month and year and adjust as required.

You shouldn’t just kill the symptom but try to identify the disease.

If it is not the system time and date, take a look here:

:-[ ooops

Trouble is i’ve had so many daft windoze errors that I never believe any of the rubish it spits out anyway ;D

No problem, but hopefully it points to you should investigate any windows security alert (assuming it is a windows alert), google is your friend.

Google is my bestest mate 8)

Thank you! That's exactly what it was. :-[ I didn't even think of looking at the calendar. I appreciate your help!

No problem, glad I could help.

Welcome to the forums.

Sometimes, viruses and malware change the system time and date. I suggest you fully scan with avast and if you have one, an antitrojan (like AVG or SuperAntispyware or SpywareTerminator).
