Windows XP saya Avast is out of date

As of yesterday, my Windows XP (Home edition) security center says Avast (4.8.1201) is “out of date”!!
I have run Avast’s “update” mecanism and restarted my PC.
Any pending issues?

regards,
Henri

Is your system date correct?

Date/time incorrect is probably the most common cause. Another is a corrupt or incorrect wbem repository.
As of now I’m using database version 080529-0, and have seen it update today. Your program version is current.
If you VPS is up to date the problem lies in the security centre. (I’ve had this four times recently, since SP3, but have also been changing a lot of software around, so I don’t know if SP3 can be blamed.)

Remedy: You have to clear the security centre cache.
Click “start>run” type services.msc click “enter”.
Locate the “Windows Management Instrumentation” entry. (It should be started and set to automatic.) Right click it, select “Stop”. Next , perform the same action for the “security centre”.
Next, navigate to c:\windows\system32\wbem\repository. Delete the repository folder. Reboot. The folder will rebuild itself, and should work correctly.

Right on! System date was incorrect!

Thanks,
Henri
