Wireless Network Password Weak

Hi,

Smart scan reported my wireless network password is weak. I was going to resolve this but it is ambiguous in how this is going to be done. Avast shows a blanked out password in the window as if Avast is going to create a new password. I can’t believe this would be set up this way which is why I’m saying it is ambiguous. However, you are showing my current password. Does that mean that people at Avast can know my password? Not that you would want to but I’m curious. Can I assume correctly that if I hit resolve that Avast will prompt me to enter a new password or more likely have me go to Netgear setup and change my password?

Also, have you heard about Chrome notifications just starting to pop up with ads in the last couple of days? I see 2 notification popups at the same time on the right of the screen. If you close them they just pop up 2 more. I have to go back and forth between closing them and switching Chrome notification block off and on before they finally go away. I leave them blocked (as always) but when I turn my computer back on they will appear again.

One more thing could you please use a different verification system. I think the object of this is to present something a human can read. Most of the images that pop up are terrible and hard to read. I’m on the 12th image now and am not able to send this message… arrrgggggg Also after getting the letters right when you pop up the only one image that is readable and I hit preview, is it really necessary to have to read and punch in letters again to hit post? Arrrggggg…

Thanks!

Your computer OS know your network name (SSID) and password, if not it could not log in so your avast AV can also see it, but it is not sendt anywhere

If you’re using the Avast, you can also use Avast’s
Passwords module, you can also use it to generate a safe and secure password.
