Worried about potential trojan

Running XP with 851Mhz AMD chip 512 RAM and 20GHD Avast 4.6 Home with latest updates ( 0510-0 8-3-2005) my initial scan came up with win32trojan-gen(other). Deleted and didnt keep the file directory.

Here is a my Hijacklog can I tell from here if I am still infected.

What should I do.

I am a newbee and not sure what steps to take.

I will let somebody else tell you what exactly to remove (if needed). But let me just advise you to install a software firewall, as it appears you don’t have one.

I agree with Spyros. If you don’t have a hardware firewall. Get one or use a software firewall.
You can fix all lines starting with “O16 - DPF:”
That is just to clean up things.
All other entries are fine.

Those are perfectly legitimate items. It is up to the user if he wants to load ad-aware at boot time or not.

Hm, that means Ad-aware.exe do exist in the windows or systemfolder. Is that normal?

I do not think that the Adaware folder is in %path%?

No, it does not mean that. It only means that Windows can find Ad-Aware.

Yes it can find ad-aware.exe and that is strange in my point of view. ad-aware.exe has to be in path and it is two times in the Startups.

At least it is not normal.

Ad aware pro is different of free version ,because it’s launched with system for permanent scanning

Maybe that is the reason, why i can not find any infos about “upddat’egon”. Even not in the lavasoftsupport forum.
