"Wrong Master Password" on Windows/Firefox

I’ve been trying everything to make it work, but when I try to access my passwords on windows and enter the Master Password (I never changed, edited or anything of the sort), I just can’t. I also tried on Avast Passwords for Firefox and I get “wrong master password”.

I’ve already uninstalled Avast 3 times, same with the Firefox Add-on and I’m scared of entering a completely new master password (hence, delete all my stored passwords) because I might not recover them (even though the sync tool might do the job. Or might not!??)!

It’s working perfectly on my Android cellphone and it’s the only reason why I haven’t gone completely mad!

I rely (sadly) too much on this solution to avoid memorizing my passwords and now that it doesn’t work, I’m freaking out!!!

PLEASE HELP!!!

See if this helps you, https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/254/

Nope, thanks but it didn’t. I tried to contact support but there’s a vicious cycle that makes them unreachable.

Only if you’re using the free version.

Sweet baby Jesus! I’m screwed! And in a very very bad way! :frowning:

If it’s your Firefox master password, maybe this will help:
