I have avast home edition registered with a code I had from an earlier avast home edition (no sense to register twice for the same program in the same computer) the web site said that it is free for home use still for a few days now i get a message your updating license will expire soon in about avast says license expiration never update expiration Oct 1 2004 so now i get every day the warning but still it downloads updates
Just re-register and use new serial ;D
The program is free for lifetime. But you need to get a new key every 14 months to be able to get updates. This is because Alwil likes to see how much people are using it.
