New Avast Antivirus March version is here (17.3.2290). This version doesn’t introduce any new features, rather fixes some of the most critical issues that appeared on the previous version.
What’s fixed:
Firewall: Fixed internet connectivity not working after update (until restart) on Win XP, Vista and 7 - should now always work immediately
Wifi Inspector: Fixed incorrectly displayed vulnerabilities - vulnerability info is now correct
Web Shield: Fixed SSL scanning issue on some sites - sites now load correctly
Issues with login to roaming profile after update
Passwords: Fixed issues with self-authorization and import from Easy Pass
Issue with installation on Braswell CPUs
Network problems after update on Vista
Issue with playing HTML5 videos in SafeZone browser
Improved compatibility with Windows 10 Creators Update
Issue with disabling components, which require restart
Problems with never-ending Cleanup optimization
2291: Fixes crash in installer
How to install:
Update from your existing Avast version via Settings → Update → Update program
All appeared OK, but I ran a Smart Scan and there are issues yet unresolved from some time ago.
There is still no Pause button in the scan.
On completion of the Smart Scan on clicking the Done button, the Notification ‘Bell’ icon shows 1 item.
Clicking on that shows the last scan entry if you click on the Details button, it fires off the Smart Scan again another issue still outstanding.
As happened before you end up getting multiple entries of the scan and doesn’t clear down the notification ‘Bell’ count.
Does anyone know if this version still has the problem where the UI shows a different time / date for a scheduled scan than what’s actually selected in the settings?
Updated from Beta#2 via offline version download without any prob. After that, I started a HNS scan.
There has nothing changed and I’m waiting for a fix since Dec! Please see

Thanks for the update but i have noticed a bug, soon as i turn my pc on from a cold boot i.e… Plugging in the plug into a plug socket and then turning my pc on, soon as i get into my desktop if i right click on any file and then choose scan with avast nothing appears infact the arrow cursor just spins and sometimes crashes explorer.exe if I retry to right click scan with avast again. It’s like if i wait for for a few minutes avast works fine right click with avast runs as it should. Don’t know why it’s doing this. Tried this on 3 pcs issue is there on all machines
Also the other bug others have mentioned regarding quick scan is present on all three of my pcs too
