Recently Avast Free Antivirus creates a shortcut on my desktop at every automatic update:
C:\Users\Public\Desktop\Avast Free Antivirus.lnk.
Please don’t do this. It’s annoying.

Yes. That annoys me too, never used to happen. I don’t want a shortcut there so have had to delete it after recent 25.n updates.

It bugs me too.

It updated itself again (to 25.3.9983a (build 25.3.9983.0)), and it created a desktop icon again. Developers don’t seem to listen to us.
