For anyone only just noticed that the built in UI password manager is at end of life then this post is for you.
As of today 4th March 2025 its gone (unless its like updates the closure is rolled out around the world at different times). Here in the UK this is what shows today.

Just also loaded it onto my android phone and it was simples.
I know, I absolutely hate it, what used to be simple and helpful has become a nightmare for me, and no easy way to contact AVAST, will try messaging on FB…good luck

Luckily for me it wasnt too bad but all the hiccups and solutions were posted by members on here as i had no idea you could extend the log out upto 7 days.
For the mobile it was easy setup. download password app from app store, log into portal and let it sync your account and now on phone and at least can use fingerprint log in each time. its actually working better than Nord vpn password manager.
where have you been getting stuck with the install?
Yes, but the damn new autofill doesn’t work. When you click on the orange key, there’s a popup that shows the details that’s needed for the login of said page, but when you click on it, nothing gets filled in on the blank fields for username & password … happens on just about every site I have passwords saved for … which means I now have to copy paste. The previous password tool filled in the details with ONE click 
There’s numerous complaints about this on the addon site, but no-one from Avast seems to give a sh|t

now im confused.
mine is still auto filling with the original avast password key icon even though it says thats now been removed.
if i click on the new square orange password it overides the auto fill with a totally different website and password for my hospital login but it does enter both email and password.
