Cancel Cleanup Premium auto renewal

I have been going around in circle trying to gt out of the free CleanUp subscription, I didn’t receive and email with an order number in it and used PayPal as my payment therefore have no way of giving the last five digits of my credit card. Some help would be great, I have tried everything they say will accomplish this.

Please cancel my Avast Cleanup subscription! It’s a big scam that costed me 55 Eur, because it’s impossible to cancel it on your own!

I have logged in to my Avast account, and tried to Cancel the Automatic Renewal of license. But when I click the button it gives an Error message saying Unable to Cancel. This is ridiculous Considering I have been reading other Posts about this dated back in January 18, Its now 23rd Nov. And still not Cancelling on Request!!

we are sorry for that but according to what I see in our systems your Automatic Renewal was cancelled despite the fact that it returned an error during the cancellation process.

Your trial period is still valid until December 2nd so you can still enjoy our product until then.

I don’t have. I can give you other information about the order such as my Name, postal code, and time attention which I placed the order. I can give you the email address I used for the order, although I suspect I may have mistyped it when placing the order. It would explain why I didn’t get a confirmation email.

sometimes people enter wrong email address or mistype it when purchasing the trial I think it is also your case.
However usually what helps us is know your license number (the one which is visible in the product if you navigate to Menu → My Licenses and expand the product name below). If you could send it to me I will track down your record and cancel the subscription for you.

Hello! Firstly I would like to say that I am really impressed with the help displayed in this thread by Stellarman so far. Great job.
Here’s my issue:

Roughly a month ago I utilised the free trial for ā€˜Avast Cleanup’ on my computer, but I now wish to cancel it. The difficulty it is that I do not know which e-mail I used (if any…) to sign up for the trial, and there is no option on the Avast Cleanup Premium application to cancel the subscription - it seems to be locked to my computer. I tried making an Avast account and linking it to my computer but even in my account, where my computer is registered as being online, etc, there is no indication that I have a subscription.

I’m just looking for a way to resolve this issue and to have my subscription removed. My apologies that I do not know which e-mail I used to sign up for the subscription - I’ve scoured through them but found nothing. I have the license number that is displayed on the clean up menu.

This licence cancelling is a sick joke… I’m trying to do it trough web portal (I’m logging with my email), in ā€œlicencesā€ section I press ā€œcancel auto-renewalā€ and what i get? ā€œwe’re sorry we couldn’t cancel your auto-renewal subscriptionā€ (i made a screenshot). I can’t do it other way because I don’t have order id - option ā€œForgot your order ID?ā€ is not working either, I’m using correct email (same as for logging to this forum and web portal), I’m sure that last 4 digits of my credit card are also correct (I don’t have other credit cards, so there is no way i used another one… if this card will be charged i promise i’ll sue Avast). So i can’t contact ā€œcustomer supportā€ without this stupid order id.
I don’t think this is an accident, you want to make this cancelling impossible. Do you want to be sued?
I want to cancel my subscription for this useless product and i want it now.

No, it won’t help because I don’t have ā€œorder idā€ to contact support and I can’t get it back - as I said ā€œForget you odred id?ā€ option is not working :slight_smile:
But after my furious post above i get 8 email with information that my auto-renawal was canceled.
We will see how it will work, because on Avast web portal there is still an information that this auto-renawal-nonsens is on.

Please send me the license number from your Avast Cleanup product (you can access it in Menu → My Licenses) so I can track down your record and cancel the subscription.

I am also having issues cancelling the Avast cleanup premium. I have logged in with my order no and password. There is no option for cancellation. I do not use it so I don’t see the reason in paying for something I am not using. How do I cancel it?

i just post to tell that i had also problems in de activating the auto renewal, the digitalriver page (italian language version) seemed to not work properly, it was not possible to know if the renewal was on or off. i had contacted the assistance trough the link given by Stellarman in the first page of this thread and in only a couple of minutes i had an answer and now my problem is solved.

in my opinion the whole procedure to de activate the auto renewal is not clear and could be improved, but i am very pleased about how fast the assistance gave me help, once i managed to understand how to contact it.
