Free six week trial did nothing

Signed up for a trial 60 days but it did nothing to resolve the security issues it highlights. So I have cancelled my application.

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.

Avast is an Antivirus Program.

What security issues did it fail to resolve and what Avast Program were you using ?

Hi David, Thanks for responding. I get the following error messages -

1 You have trcking cookies in your browser

2 Website trackers are following you online

3 75%b of websites are tracking you online

4 Online trackers can act with impunity

5 No privacy monitoring

6 You can be targeted with adds.

7 Ad blockers dispupt websites

8 5+ other issues with online tracking.

So I don’t really know if AVAST is actuallyt protecting me so I cancelled my renewal.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Avast is making you aware of potential issues, what you have mentioned could well be in your browser cache and or apps. Some how if avast cleared your browser cache and suspect add-ons you would be mightily pi$$ed.

I also suspect that this is after a Smart Scan ?

If so this is pointing out potential weaknesses that Avast, surprisingly has a paid options to resolve.

With a resident (on-access) scanner the need for on-demand scans is much depreciated. For the most part dormant/inert files are being scanned, the other active files are going to be scanned by the resident shields when they are activated.

I would certainly recommend you clear your browser cache and cookies, including 3rd party cookies and restart your browser..

Scare Tatics

I am disgusted with your scare tactics. Had 10 warnings in 1 notice on GUI. Solution buy “Breachguard” Had another 10 warnings in another notice Solution buy " AntiTrack" Even 1 warning your bank details may be on the darkweb. I use Avast Premium Security. Avast VPN Avast Bank mode when banking. I have been using different avast apps over 20 years. To believe there warnings the above is not protecting me. I am now seriously thinking of changing my protection. Very Annoye…

Pure and simple they are hard sell adverts from avast and we all get them especially as David said after a smart scan.

they want you to buy their cleaner, plenty of free ones out there or their vpn.

Even on a brand new laptop with only windows and avast loaded it said i had loads of critical issues and 10gb junk

windows 11 is 20-27gb in size so a lot of the suposed junk it found must be part of windows or just a hard sell from avast.

Avast does its job decent enough. David has been on the free version for years while i pay for premium since 2014 and i also get all the critical warnings on the paid version.
