Already have a thread open here ( HELP! Avast E-Mail Guard is no longer functional since last update! - Avast Free Antivirus / Premium Security - Avast Community ), however after a week, there has been no helpful responses. Hopefully someone with knowledge is monitoring and can offer assistance:
Since last “update” my E-mail Guard in Avast Premium Security is no longer functional! I had 4 existing e-mail addresses connected (so the “not compatible accounts” message is TOTALLY bogus!!) and now all 4 are gone/no longer listed under Scam Guardian!! When I also tried to re-add the e-mail addresses, it would not allow me to add ANY that were previously added (i.e., gmail, outlook, yahoo, etc), nor can I even turn E-Mail Guard “on” (just saying “we are sorry, something went wrong” which is incredibly helpful - NOT!

Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what is the workaround (besides just a “shut up and reboot)? I do not really want to call Avast’s “support” since the last time they were completely useless and I spent 4 days wasting my time to the point I almost cancelled my subscription.
Again to clarify, e-mail guard was “turned off” by itself! I did not turn it off at all. For months it was set to “on” and as mentioned I had 4 e-mail addresses it was “monitoring” however I have been seeing an influx of junk/spam mail and I looked and saw that it was “off” and it gives an error whenever I try to turn it back on (as I already mentioned)!!
Can someone please offer some reason why this is now happening - especially since the last update (I already included the version details above)
So far no helpful hints/answers and as mentioned, my last experience with Avast “support” was useless and wasted several days of my time.
